Diamond quilt

I have been making this quilt for quite a while now - can you guess why????? Yes its all hand stitched with tiny little stitches. Hmm I often ask myself why I do it! For non quilters out there - it all starts with a diamond shape (each one is 2.5 inches long) which I print up a page at a time - cut them out, pin onto the fabric and cut around it leaving a small amount for turning. I then tack the seam allowance down, being careful to keep the points sharp.
The final step is to stich them together. I average about 25 stitches each side. That will give you an idea of why its taking a long time :-) The satisfaction is in making the stiches as small and as neat as possible.

I love the look of this quilt - what do you think?
